What are the materials of the packaging carton?

With the development of the global packaging industry and logistics industry, the requirements for the quality of packaging cartons are getting higher and higher, especially for the packaging boxes that are transported over long distances. The printing effect caused by the uneven cardboard warping, the moisture absorption and the softness and the opening of the glue cause products Damaged or scrapped goods, returns, claims and other cases occur from time to time. It can be seen that the quality of packaging cartons is very important to the packaging logistics industry. So, what are the materials of the packaging cartons?

There are three layers and five layers commonly used in cartons. Each layer is divided into lining paper, corrugated paper, core paper, and face paper. The lining and face paper are teaboard paper and kraft paper. The core paper is corrugated. The color and feel of various papers are different. , The paper (color, feel) produced by different manufacturers is different. The following is an introduction to the various base paper materials of the carton packaging organized by the editor:

1. Tea board paper: The color of tea board paper is grayish white and rough. Tea board paper mixed with old materials has less fiber content and average quality. Tea board paper is the paper in the middle of the corrugated carton, which is very soft. Because of the poor quality, the price of tea board paper is also the cheapest.

2. Cardboard paper:

(1) Kraft cardboard (American card, Russian card). Features: long fiber, re-sizing, high physical strength, rough cardboard; pure wood pulp or a small amount of OCC. Abbreviation: imported cattle card. Imported paper will be expensive and it is difficult to order paper.

(2) Imitation kraft cardboard. Features: 15-25% wood pulp is hung on the surface, and the rest is OCC; the fiber is shorter and the strength is worse than that of cow cardboard. The paper surface is smooth, sizing in different degrees (water absorption ranging from 30-55g/m2), and surface dyeing treatment. Abbreviation: domestic cattle card.

3) White cardboard. White flour cattle card base, surface bleached wood pulp, the rest is natural or dyed wood pulp. (Russian white, Swedish white card, Finnish white card); white paper (surface bleached wood pulp, the rest is deinked or non-deinked waste paper); coated white paper (white on white, white on gray, etc.).

(4) Recycled paper. All are composed of OCC, but different from corrugated paper. The surface is AOCC dried noodles above 11# and dyed). The market is generally called C-level boxboard paper, and some are called T paper.

Corrugated base paper: Corrugated paper is a multi-layer glued body, which at least consists of a layer of wavy core paper interlayer and a layer of cardboard. It has high mechanical strength and can withstand collisions and falls during handling.

Because the corrugated carton packaging has the advantages of strong protection of the contents, easy identification, easy handling, easy opening of the box, and exquisite printing, it has become one of the product packaging forms with the fastest growth in demand in recent years. Recently affected by the Sino-US trade war, U.S. card paper has increased tariffs. Now it is difficult to order this type of paper, and more domestic cattle cards are used. Various products exported to the United States increased tariffs, exports decreased, and demand for packaging decreased. The paper produced by each cardboard factory is different, and the price is also different, so you should listen to the opinions of the professionals of the carton factory when making packaging.
