On November 7, Fujian Institute of Material Structure of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fujian Chuangxin Technology Development Co., Ltd. and China Science and Technology Huayu (Fujian) Technology Co.

      This project focuses on the research and development of product structure, design and synthesis of water-based polyurethane adhesives, key technologies for engineering industrialization, complete sets of equipment and application technologies, etc. It has broken through the key technologies for industrialization of large-scale production such as amine removal and decolorization process technology, acetone removal and recovery technology, two-stage production, etc., realized the localization of relevant raw and auxiliary materials, developed a variety of new products of water-based polyurethane adhesives, realized the pilot test of 500 kg of water-based polyurethane resin for coatings, and achieved the development of the new products of water-based polyurethane adhesives. The project has completed the demonstration production line of 50 tons/year of hydrophilic chain extender and the industrial production line of 2,000 tons/year of water-based polyurethane footwear adhesive, and provided complete sets of key technologies for the annual production of 100,000 tons of water-based polyurethane footwear adhesive.
 
      During the implementation of the project, 7 invention patents were applied for and 1 utility model patent was authorized; 1 national standard was drafted and issued by the National Standard Committee; 6 doctoral and master's degree students were trained and significant social and economic benefits were generated.

      Based on the original achievements of water-based polyurethane adhesives of Fujian Institute of Physics, the project integrates the advantages of two enterprises in engineering industrialization and breaks through the key technologies of water-based polyurethane adhesives R&D and industrialization, which is helpful to break the technical barriers and product monopoly of foreign water-based polyurethane adhesives, realize the industrialized scale production and application of water-based polyurethane adhesives in Fujian Province and even in China, promote the development of footwear industry, building decoration industry and textile industry, and improve the development of related industries.
