Polypropylene (PP) is widely distributed in China, with large capacity in the northwest, northeast, north, east, and south China. In the northwest region, due to the production of coal-based olefins in recent years, it is currently China's largest capacity-producing region. From a single province and region, Zhejiang is the province with the largest production capacity in China. In recent years, China's polypropylene production capacity has continued to grow, with an average capacity growth rate of 10%. Although China's polypropylene production grows faster, China is still the world's largest importer of polypropylene. As of 2012, the external dependency of polypropylene remains at 27%.
