How To Choose Plastic Tray Materials

Blister packaging: The use of plastic technology to produce plastic products, and use the corresponding equipment, the general term for packaging products.

Blister packaging products include: blister, tray, plastic boxes, synonym: vacuum cover, blisters and so on.

Blister: a plastic processing technology, the main principle is to flatten the plastic hard sheet heating soft, vacuum adsorption on the mold surface, after cooling molding, widely used in plastic packaging, lighting, advertising, decoration and other industries.

Blister packaging materials called hard film or film, commonly used PET (polyethylene terephthalate) hard film, PVC (PVC) hard film, PS (polystyrene) hard film.

PS hard film is low in density, poor in toughness, easy to burn, and generates styrene gas (which is a harmful gas) when it is burned, so it is generally used to produce various industrial plastic trays.

PVC hard sheet has moderate toughness, is not easy to burn, and generates chlorine when it is burned, which has a certain impact on the environment. PVC is easy to heat and can be sealed by a sealing machine and high-frequency machine. It is the main raw material for producing transparent plastic products.

PET hard film has good toughness, high transparency, easy to burn, and does not produce harmful gases when it is burned. It is an environmentally friendly material, but its price is high and it is suitable for high-grade plastic products. In general, PET plastic film is required for plastic-blown blister in European and American countries, but It is not easy to heat, and it brings great difficulties to the package. To solve this problem, people laminate a layer of PVC film on the surface of PET, named PETG hard film, but the price is higher.
