Faerch Plast introduces the world's first bakeable CPET flex

Faerch Plast has introduced the world's first bakeable CPET flexible film packaging. This latest innovation, which enables consumers to put the product directly into the oven or microwave without removing the current packaging or touching the raw food, offers significant hygienic benefits.

According to Faerch Plast's General Manager - "These bakeable flexible film packs are a real game changer and with this special SkinCook top web pack from Bemis Flexible Packaging means they can be opened without opening in any way. Cook directly from chilled or frozen.

“This package also increases consumer appeal, shelf space efficiency and provides maximum product protection in transit and in-store. Cook time is reduced by 20% for conventional ovens and 40% for microwave ovens, and No unsightly gravy. Plus, the shelf life of the product is significantly improved, helping to reduce food waste.”

The company partnered with ABP and Bemis Flexible Packaging to develop lightweight and bakeable packaging that has significant barrier and strength properties and offers processors, retailers and consumers many benefits -

       1. You can take out the soft-film-wrapped meat products directly from the freezer or freezer without opening the package, which provides convenience for safe and simple oven roasting or microwave curing, and can prolong the shelf life of meat. Baked soft film packaging will help reduce the risk of contamination (eg, from Campylobacter spp.) because consumers do not have to handle raw food.

       2. Meat or poultry products are securely fixed in place for display, which enhances the shelf impact of the product. Plus, this bakeable flexible wrap will further increase appeal and brand awareness from the side.

       3. Using special tools, this bakeable soft film pack can form a contoured top net to pack larger products, such as chicken nuggets and meat that protrude from the edge of the tray.
