The difference between PVC, PET, PP and PE

PVC: Polyvinyl chloride plastic is a polymer of vinyl chloride monomer. Due to the abundant raw materials of PVC resin and the rapid growth of low-price demand, the position in the packaging industry has gradually strengthened. Depending on the molecular weight, PVC can be classified into general type and high polymer type. General PVC has an average degree of polymerization of 500 - 150 and an average PVC level of more than 1700. The PVC resin we use is versatile.

PE: Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) is a thermoplastic engineering plastic. It combines the superior properties of most plastics, impact resistance, low temperature resistance, wear resistance, chemical resistance, self-lubrication, and absorption of impact energy. The six characteristics are currently of the highest value in plastics. Ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene is synthesized by Ziegler high pressure, and the molecular weight is controlled between 150 and 3 million. Considering the thermal degradation of process molecules, high-density polyethylene has a molecular weight of more than 1.7 million and can be processed into various products to make it more advantageous.

PP: PP (polypropylene) is high in height, high in hardness and high in strength, but the notched impact resistance is generally good. PP materials can withstand tensile stress and are easy to weld. Low temperature becomes brittle, chemical stability is good, and electrical properties are excellent. Operating temperatures range from 5 to 100 degrees. Features: low density; heat resistance, no deformation; high stiffness; high surface strength; good chemical stability; non-toxic, harmless; disadvantages: general toughness, general oxidation resistance, general wear resistance, low temperature brittle, welding not High and vulnerable to weather conditions. Applications: Pump valve components, water and sewage pipelines, sealing materials, spray carriers, corrosion tanks, barrels, acid and alkali, industrial wastewater discharge equipment, washing towers, clean rooms, semiconductor factories and related industrial equipment and machinery, food machinery , cutting board, electroplating process, toy accessories, dental catheters, widely used in structural materials such as chemical, mechanical, electrical and electronic industries.

PET: Polyethylene terephthalate, commonly known as "Saibai Steel" in China. PET is a high quality engineering plastic with high stiffness, high strength, high toughness, small coefficient of friction, and high dimensional stability. The overall performance of PET profiles can be compared with engineering plastics such as nylon/PA6, PA66, POM, etc., which can partially replace their applications. The scope of application is very broad. Uses: mechanical parts, gears, cams, blades, pump parts, high-load sliding bearing parts, electronic industrial insulators, automotive parts, food hygiene machinery parts.

ABS: ABS plastic is currently the world's largest general engineering plastic. Chinese name: propylene sunny-butadiene-styrene copolymer, ABS plastic has a wide range of raw materials, low price, easy processing, excellent impact properties, etc. ABS plastic has good comprehensive performance and excellent impact performance. Therefore, it is widely used in the replacement of metal materials. Widely used in household appliances, electronic appliances, office equipment, automobiles, machinery and other fields.
