"The new high performance polyamide will maximize the market demand of film packers, allowing them to better promote downstream end products." With more than 60 years of experience as a manufacturing leader, BASF has been renowned for its high-performance polyamides, engineering plastics polyamide intermediates, films and fibers. The company's main polyamide production lines include PA6, PA6.6, PA6.10 and PA6/6.6 copolymers.
Polyamide has been BASF's core business for many years. The company has production bases in Ludwigshafen, Germany, Antwerp, Belgium, Texas, USA and Sao Paulo, Brazil. In addition, its Shanghai polyamide plant is under construction, with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year, and is expected to be officially operational in 2015.
