Eight aspects of good savings control in gravure production

Gravure printing has long been criticized for VOC emissions and other problems. In the background of the green wave sweeping the world, the greening of gravure printing has become a necessary path for the survival and development of gravure printing enterprises. In order to fully realize the greening of gravure printing, gravure printing enterprises should not only adopt environmentally friendly consumables, update and reform processes and equipment, but also pay attention to the saving control in the production process, minimize the waste of raw materials, and achieve a double harvest of environmental protection and economy by saving every drop.
  1、Printing layout design
  In the printing layout design process, try to achieve the most concise and reasonable design to present the highest quality printing effect.
  (1) for overlay marks, slitting marks, bag making marks, dot signal strips and other marks, try to use smaller size and reasonable color to reduce the process loss of the substrate; (2) reduce the use of spot-color plates, spot-color ink, with the original color overlay instead of spot color to save printing plates and ink; (3) reduce the number of colors, optimize the layout design, reduce the overlap rate of the printing area.
  2, the production and use of printing plates
  In the plate making process, try to use no film electronic engraving process, reduce the use of corrosion process; in the plate storage and use, pay attention to the protection of the plate, improve the printing power of the plate. The printing power is not only related to the quality of chromium plating of the printing plate, and by the operation of the greater impact, good operating habits can significantly improve the printing power of the printing plate. When the completion of a certain amount of printing plate wear, the plate should be promptly returned to chrome re-plating treatment, do not wait until after the copper and then take measures to avoid scrapping the plate. After the scrapping of the plate should be handed over to the plate maker for recycling.
  3, the ink viscosity control and use
  Ink viscosity directly affects the consistency of the printed color, if not properly controlled, it may cause a large number of printing scrap and loss of raw materials. Therefore, in the gravure printing process should be reasonable control of ink viscosity. Usually can use viscosity automatic control device to control the ink viscosity, or use to the ink delivery solvent, ink tray, ink barrel, solvent barrel with a cover, solvent delivery pipeline, etc., to compensate for the impact of solvent volatilization on the ink viscosity. For spot-color ink, energy-curing ink and expensive special ink, should use a smaller volume of the ink tank to reduce the amount of remaining ink; the use of waste film wrapped ink tank to reduce the cleaning workload of the ink tray and solvent loss when changing the ink; use the ink barrel to clean, try to minimize the ink residue.
  4, spot-color ink blending
  When blending spot-color ink, in addition to recording the ratio of each color ink, you should also keep the appropriate amount of ink samples. When printing again, you can first proportional allocation of ink, and then scraping stick scraping samples, and repeatedly do comparison with the ink samples, until the visual inspection of the appearance of the two color no difference before printing on the machine. This can be solved between different batches of ink color difference on the impact of the print color consistency. Gravure printing enterprises with conditions can also use computer color matching and distribution system to improve the accuracy of ink color matching, the ink library to reduce the remaining old ink to a minimum.
  5、The selection and use of squeegee
  Squeegee is an important part of gravure printing equipment, in the process of high-speed operation of the equipment, the squeegee will inevitably be subject to wear, so after completing a certain amount of printing work or replacing the printing plate, the squeegee needs to be replaced. In order to reduce the number of squeegee replacement and save costs, measures can be taken to reduce the angle and pressure of the squeegee, improve the thickness, smoothness and hardness of the chrome layer of the printing plate, fully filter the ink, and keep the substrate and printing unit clean. In addition, for the used scraper, polished and can be reused or used in the white version and other field full-page printing color group; for the long version of the work or printing difficult work, can use coated scraper to maintain color consistency, reduce the incidence of printing failure, or use a combination of scraper to improve the printing quality of shallow network parts, while saving the amount of scraper, reduce the number of scraper replacement, reduce the cost of scraper use.
  6, the use of material rolls
  In order to reduce the printing start-up phase due to the register chasing color car caused by the printing material volume waste, the printing plate should be adjusted to the right position to reduce the initial alignment error, or the use of scrap or degraded material to adjust the car; precise control of printing tension and other parameters to achieve high precision register printing substrate; non-stop automatic pick-up, in advance of the preparation of new material volume, a large register error, manual adjustment and then switch to automatic register system to avoid a large number of scrap due to register errors. In addition, we should also do a good job of marking bad prints, reduce the intensity of re-roll inspection work, and reduce the waste of materials in the post-printing process; do a good job of process records, so as to achieve fast registration when the plate is on again, and improve production efficiency and yield.
  7、Environmental control of gravure workshop
  Gravure workshop environment factors include temperature, humidity, cleanliness, etc. Improving the gravure workshop environment has a great role in improving the quality of printed products and reducing printing failures. For example, in the ambient temperature is too high or dry conditions, to ensure shallow screen printing effect, had to add slow-drying solvent, which will increase the drying load and solvent residual hidden problems. In this regard, humidification systems should be used in the dry season to effectively reduce static electricity and improve the effect of shallow screen printing. In addition, a clean production environment can also prevent the film and other adsorbed dust, which helps to reduce the knife line and other printing failures.
  8, waste recycling and reuse
  (1) for the remaining ink after opening the barrel and ink tray, should be sealed and stored in a timely manner; waste ink can be made into black ink or other spot-color ink for reuse, the remaining ink can not be reused to recover the solvent in it. (2) Waste plastic film can be used for shunting or used for protective packaging of plastic pipes, doors and windows and other building materials after slitting. (3) Wipes are used in a graded manner to minimize the use of used wipes after cleaning printing plates, impression rollers, guide rollers, ink barrels and ink pans. (4) Collect various wastes generated in the printing process in a classified manner, and recycle items such as films, paper, aluminum foil, cartons, paper tubes, baffles, ink drums, etc. Waste cloth, sand nets, sandpaper, etc. are collected by the garbage collection station in a unified manner and treated in a resourceful manner or in a sanitary landfill.
